16 family members missing from Sindhuli village, police begin search

Police have started a search operation after 16 members of a single family went missing from a village in Golanjor Rural Municipality, Sindhuli.

The missing family belongs to Urmila Hayu, who lived near Bandhas Bipper Kateri in Golanjor-6, Chetpa. Locals informed the Sindhuli District Police Office on Monday morning that the entire family had disappeared.

Based on the report, a police team visited the house and began an investigation, said SP Lal Dhwaj Subedi.

He said, “As soon as we received the information, a police team reached Hayu’s house. There are signs of some damage. The chickens, goats, and buffaloes kept by the family were found abandoned. But no family members were found at home.”

Police are gathering more information with the help of local representatives and villagers.
