4-year-old boy crushed to death by gate in Phattepur

A 4-year-old boy died after being crushed by an iron gate in Phattepur, Saptakoshi Municipality-1, on Thursday evening.

The boy, Samarjung Katuwal, was playing in front of his house when the gate suddenly fell on him. He was the son of local resident Sanjiv Katuwal.

Samarjung was seriously injured and was first taken to a local clinic in Fattepur. He was later referred to Birat Teaching Hospital in Biratnagar, where doctors declared him dead.

According to DSP Jitendra Kumar Basnet of the District Police Office, the body is currently undergoing post-mortem and further investigation is underway.
