The government has allocated a budget of 400 million rupees to upgrade the TU (Tribhuvan University) cricket ground.
Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel announced this during his budget speech.
“A budget of 400 million rupees has been set aside to upgrade the TU cricket ground,” he said.
The ground, built in 1998, is finally getting a parapet and floodlights after 27 years. This year, a parapet with a seating capacity of 10,000 will be constructed. The roof over the seating area is planned for next year.
