In Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality-1, Sindhupalchok, a fire broke out at the Bidan Bidhi Agricultural Livestock Farm in Gunsa due to an electric short circuit. The fire killed 50 goats, and one person was injured while trying to put out the fire.
According to SP Rameshwar Karki, chief of Sindhupalchok Police, the fire started around 8:30 a.m. at the farm registered under the name Bimala Shrestha. Out of 85 goats at the farm, 50 were burned to death, six were injured, and 29 were rescued.
During the firefighting, 44-year-old local Chudamani Shrestha was injured. He received injuries to his head and hand and is being treated at Chautara Hospital.
Police said the fire was brought under control with the help of local residents.
