Al-Ahli Win AFC Champions League for the First Time

Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli won the AFC Champions League title for the first time.

In the final held last night in Jeddah, Al-Ahli defeated Japanese club Kawasaki 2-0.

Galeno scored in the 35th minute and Franck Kessié added another in the 42nd minute to secure the win.

Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino, who has played for AC Milan, Barcelona, and Liverpool, was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

Kawasaki had reached the final for the first time after beating Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr in the semifinals.
