A young man went missing after being swept away while swimming in the Tamor River.
Shishir Rai, a 16-year-old from Bhalu Khop, Phalelung Rural Municipality-7, went swimming near Phidim Bazar on Saturday.
According to the District Police Office, he was swept away while swimming. As soon as the police received information, a rescue team from the Panchthar Police Office and local people searched for him all day but could not find him.
The police said that the search with locals and the rescue team started early Sunday morning and is still ongoing.
