A 15-year-old girl named Nirmala Kumal died after being electrocuted in Gadyoulitar, Ghiring Rural Municipality-4, Tanahun District.
According to the Tanahun District Police Office, the accident happened on May 9, 2025, around 6:30 PM. Nirmala was cutting grass from a pipal tree in her field near her home when she accidentally touched a main power line.
Nirmala was seriously injured and was rushed to the GP Koirala National Centre for Respiratory Diseases in Belchautara for treatment. Sadly, she passed away at 8:10 PM on the same day while receiving treatment, police said.
Police are currently investigating the incident, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ashok Thapa, who is the information officer for the Tanahun District Police Office.
