A young man has died in Kailali after being hit by lightning. Police reported that Upendra Bahadur Shahi, 26, from Jhili in Gauriganga Municipality-2, was killed by a lightning strike around 12 PM today.
According to District Police Office spokesperson DSP Rajkumar Singh, Shahi was walking in a field when the lightning struck him.
He died at the scene. Shahi’s body has been taken to Seti Provincial Hospital for examination.
