Nepal Police has arrested journalist Narayan Aryal. According to Shiva Lamsal, the president of the Nepal Press Union, police took him into custody from Kupondole.
Lamsal wrote on Facebook, “Journalist Narayan Aryal has been arrested by police. He was taken from Natraj Travels in Kupondole.”
Earlier in the morning, Aryal had told Media that plainclothes police officers had come to his house in Kupondole looking for him.
However, since Aryal had already left home before they arrived, he had initially avoided arrest.
