Today’s Weather in Nepal: June 21, 2025

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast cloudy weather and rainfall across Nepal today, Saturday, June 21, due to the active monsoon system.

According to the department, monsoon winds are currently affecting the entire country. During the day, most regions will see partly to generally cloudy skies. Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in some hilly areas and a few other parts of the country.

There is also a chance of heavy rainfall at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces. Light rain and snowfall are possible in some high hilly and mountainous regions.

Similar weather is expected tonight as well, with partly to generally cloudy conditions across the country. Thunderstorms with light to moderate rain are likely in some hilly areas and a few other locations. One or two areas in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim may experience heavy rain, while light rain or snowfall could occur in some high-altitude regions.

The department has urged the public to remain alert, especially in areas at risk of landslides or floods due to possible heavy rain.
