Nepal’s all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee has become the player with the most T20 International (T20I) appearances for the national cricket team.

The match against Scotland on Friday marked his 82nd T20I, making him the most-capped Nepali cricketer in this format. Before this game, both Dipendra and Karan KC had played 81 T20Is each.

However, Karan was not selected for Friday’s match, allowing Dipendra to take the top spot alone. Following him are Karan KC with 81 matches, and Sompal Kami with 78. Other players have played fewer than 70 games.

This record could still change in the future. If Dipendra is absent due to injury or any other reason, Karan KC could overtake him again.

In his 82 T20I matches, Dipendra has scored 1,823 runs at an average of 33.14 and a strike rate of 141. His record includes 1 century and 9 half-centuries. As a bowler, he has also taken 52 wickets.

Dipendra also holds some unique records. He is one of the few players in T20I history to hit a fifty in just 9 balls, a record that can only be matched, not broken. He is also among the rare players to hit six sixes in one over in a T20I match.
