A tragic motorbike accident in Sunsari has claimed the lives of three people, including a father and his young son from the same family. Two others were seriously injured.
The crash happened around 7:30 PM in Ramdhuni Municipality-7, Basbitti, on the inner road section between Chatara and Kanchi Chowk. It involved two motorcycles: one heading toward Kanchi Chowk (Province 1–02–056 Pa 5864) and another coming from that direction (Ko 33 Pa 9605).
The deceased have been identified as 34-year-old Inarchan Chaudhary of Ramdhuni-6, his 9-year-old son Pranish Chaudhary, and approximately 50-year-old Bindhu Yadav of Inaruwa-6, who was riding the second motorcycle.
According to police, all three died during treatment on Saturday night at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.
Two others—32-year-old Pratiksha Chaudhary of Ramdhuni-6 (wife of the late Inarchan Chaudhary) and around 36-year-old Ramesh Chaudhary of Inaruwa-7—are seriously injured and currently undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
Sunsari police spokesperson DSP Yograj Khatiwada said the accident occurred due to high speed from both motorcycles.
