Today’s Weather in Nepal: July 8th, 2025

Due to the influence of the monsoon, today’s weather across Nepal is mostly cloudy in the hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the country is experiencing partly cloudy to mostly clear skies.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light to moderate rain with thunder is currently occurring in a few places across Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Afternoon Forecast:

This afternoon, most parts of the country will have partly to mostly cloudy skies. Light to moderate rain with thunder is likely in some hilly areas of all provinces, and a few other places elsewhere. There is a chance of heavy rainfall in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Light to moderate snowfall with rain is also expected in some high hill and Himalayan areas.

Night Forecast:

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to mostly cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder is expected in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and a few places in other provinces. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Additionally, snowfall is likely in a few high hill and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with one or two places in similar regions of other provinces.
