Passenger bus accident in Kavre due to brake failure, 23 injured
A passenger bus met with an accident on an inner road in Pouwagaun, Bhumlu Rural Municipality-8, Kavre on Saturday afternoon. The accident is believed to have happened due to brake failure, though further investigation is ongoing.
The bus, with registration number Ba 3 Kha 8408, was traveling from Dorakhani in Ramechhap to Kathmandu when it crashed into a roadside wall.
Out of the 32 passengers on board, 23 were injured and have been taken to Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment, according to Komal Shah, chief of the District Police Office, Kavre.
Police said the bus remains at the accident site and the driver has been taken into custody.
