Three people have gone missing after a tipper truck fell into the Thuli Bheri River at Pipalchaur, ward no. 11 of Aathbiskot Municipality, under the Bheri Corridor.

According to police, the missing individuals are 35-year-old driver Maniram Chaudhary from Dang, Dhanbir Baraili from Sanibheri Rural Municipality-3 in Rukum West (age unknown), and one unidentified person.

The tipper, with number plate Ra 1 Kha 1501 and operated by Yeti Builders, fell directly from the road into the river around 8 PM last night, said Inspector Ganesh Khanal of the Aathbiskot Area Police Office.

Inspector Khanal said, “Besides the driver, the other two were an excavator operator and his helper. They were returning from their work site in Aathbiskot-11, Chisapani, to Aathbiskot-14, Chepare, when the accident happened.”

Search efforts have been ongoing since early morning, but rising water levels in the Bheri River have made rescue operations more difficult.
