Journalist Dirgha Khatri, who worked at Radio Nepal’s provincial station in Dipayal, has passed away. He died on Thursday afternoon.
He was found collapsed on the road near the Radio Nepal office in Dipayal around 1 PM. His colleagues rushed him to Sujang Hospital in Rajpur, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
His body has been taken to the District Hospital in Doti for a postmortem. According to police, the postmortem will be done after his family members arrive. The cause of death is still unknown.
Khatri was originally from Chuchundhunga, Jorayal Rural Municipality-4 in Doti, and had also been living in Chaumala, Kailali. He had been working at Radio Nepal on a contract basis since 2076 BS (2019 AD).
