A flood near Til village in Namkha Rural Municipality-6 of Humla has swept away four wooden bridges.
According to DSP Shankar Pokharel of the Humla District Police Office, the flood damaged four wooden bridges that connected Til village, a water mill, a public irrigation canal, and a stupa of Buddha near the river.
The flood also affected paddy fields in the area. The sudden flood occurred around 4 PM on the 12th of Shrawan.
A police team of five from the Sunkhani police post visited the site and collected initial damage reports, DSP Pokharel said.
Local residents told police that the flood in the Gunchhusa stream caused the damage. However, the full damage report is yet to come.
A similar flood had also hit the same area earlier on the 1st of Jestha (15 May). At that time, experts concluded that water from a glacial lake above the village had leaked, causing the flood.
