Police arrested several people involved in gang activities late Thursday night. The arrests happened after an overnight operation in the Thamel and Maharajgunj areas.
The operation was launched based on information that a group involved in criminal activities had gathered during a birthday party for Chakre Milan.
A joint team from the Kathmandu Police and the Valley Crime Investigation Office, dressed in plain clothes, carried out the raid.
An officer said many people connected to gang activities were arrested during the operation and are now under investigation.
Police had already arrested Yuvraj Gurung, also known as ‘Sanubhai’, on Wednesday night for his involvement in similar activities.
