Three Indians arrested with pistol in Siraha

Three Indian citizens were arrested with a homemade pistol during a regular police check on the Choharwa–Siraha road section in Naraha Rural Municipality-3, Siraha.

According to the District Police Office, the arrested men are Om Shankar Yadav, Rishinath Mandal, and Akash Kumar Mandal from Belahi Panchayat-3, Madhubani district, Bihar, India. They were riding on the same motorcycle when police stopped them.

The police team, led by DSP Rajeshraj Puri from the Mirchaiya Area Police Office, stopped the motorcycle on suspicion and found a hidden homemade pistol during the search.

All three are currently being held at the Mirchaiya Police Office for further investigation, said DSP Birendra Paswan, spokesperson for the Siraha District Police Office.

He added that the suspects will be presented at the Siraha District Court today, and police will seek an extension of their custody for further investigation under the Arms and Ammunition Act.
