Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is scheduled to visit Nepal on August 17 (Bhadra 1), according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During his stay in Kathmandu, he is expected to meet Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba, and other senior officials.
Sources say Misri’s visit is part of preparations for Prime Minister Oli’s upcoming trip to India, which is likely to take place in the last week of Bhadra.
Earlier, the Prime Minister’s Office had indicated that Oli’s visit to India might happen on Bhadra 31.
“During Misri’s visit, discussions will be held on PM Oli’s India trip and other key bilateral matters,” a ministry source said.
