In Byas Municipality-7, Dulepani, Tanahun, a man went missing today after being swept away by the Madi River.
The missing person has been identified as 40-year-old Hari Pariyar from Byas Municipality-1, Amreni, according to the District Police Office.
Pariyar worked at the Nepal Telecommunications Authority in Damauli. Police Inspector Raju Adhikari said a search operation is underway.
He was among three people who went swimming in the river during a picnic when he was carried away by the water.
