The monsoon has weakened as the low-pressure line has shifted south of its usual position, bringing less rain across Nepal today.
Yesterday, the low-pressure line was further north over Nepal and the Terai-Madhesh region, causing moderate to heavy rainfall in many areas.
Meteorologists say that with the southward shift toward India, heavy rain is unlikely over the next three days. Hilly regions may get slightly more rain than the Terai-Madhesh plains.
Today, moderate rain is possible in some hilly areas of Sudurpaschim Province and in one or two Terai locations. Tonight, moderate rain may occur in parts of the hills and Terai in Gandaki Province, as well as in hilly areas of Bagmati, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.
