Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has taken off from Bhairahawa to Kathmandu. He is being flown on a Buddha Air flight and will be taken to Nakkhu Prison via Tribhuvan International Airport.
Supporters of Lamichhane have already started gathering at Nakkhu Prison in Lalitpur. Many RSP leaders and followers are present, showing strong support as he is transferred.
Lamichhane has been in Rupandehi Prison since Chaitra 25 (April 8) for investigation in the Supreme Cooperative scam case in Butwal. According to the Prison Management Department’s decision, he is being transferred to Nakkhu Prison today.
The large turnout of supporters outside both Bhairahawa and Nakkhu Prisons highlights the strong backing he continues to enjoy.
