Nepal loses to Bangladesh ‘A’ by 29 runs

Nepal suffered its second consecutive loss in the Top & T20 Series in Australia’s Northern Territory. Nepal was defeated by Bangladesh ‘A’ by 29 runs.

Chasing a target of 184 runs, Nepal scored 154 for 7 in 20 overs. Kushal Malla scored an unbeaten half-century, but it was not enough. He made 59 runs off 47 balls.

For Bangladesh, Rakibul Hasan took 3 wickets, while Saif Hassan, Ripon Mondal, and Mrittunjoy Chowdhury took 1 wicket each.

Earlier, Bangladesh batted first and scored 183 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Opener Jishan Alam made the highest score of 71, and Afif Hossain remained unbeaten on 48.

For Nepal, Rijan Dhakal took 2 wickets, while Nandan Yadav, Karan KC, and Sandeep Lamichhane took 1 wicket each.

Nepal had lost their first match against NT Strike on Friday. Next, they will play against Melbourne Stars, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, and Pakistan Shaheens.
