Rolpa woman dies, husband critical after eating wild mushrooms

In Rolpa, a woman died and her husband became seriously ill after eating wild mushrooms.

The deceased has been identified as 74-year-old Narmala Oli of Paribartan Rural Municipality-2, Ransi.

On August 14, Narmala and her 81-year-old husband, Bhagirama Oli, fell sick after eating curry made from mushrooms collected from the forest.

They were first treated at a local medical center and later taken to Rapti Institute of Health Sciences in Ghorahi, Dang, on August 13.

Police said Narmala died during treatment, while her husband remains in serious condition at the same hospital.
