Durga Prasai to form new political party

Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai has announced that he will form a new political party.

Prasai, who was released from Dillibazar prison just two weeks ago, made the announcement during a press conference on Monday.

He said he reached this decision after facing many obstacles, including having his campaign office locked when he was only running social campaigns.

“I am a successful businessman with political awareness. For me, Nepal and Nepali people now come before my family and myself. Since politics has created many problems, we are forced to get involved in politics to bring change,” Prasai said.

He also added that the name of the party will be announced soon.

“Myself, our campaign team, and supporters have decided to form a political party and get involved in politics. That is why I have decided to create a political force,” Prasai said.
