Google unveils Pixel 10 Pro Fold with AI-powered features and largest display yet

Google has officially introduced the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, its most advanced foldable phone designed for multitasking, entertainment, and AI-driven experiences.

The phone features an 8-inch Super Actua Flex display, the largest ever on a Pixel, alongside a 6.4-inch Actua cover screen that feels like holding a standard Pixel Pro. Despite its size, the device is made thin and light, with a new gearless high-strength hinge that can handle over 10 years of folding. It is also the first Pixel foldable to come with IP68 dust and water resistance and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

Built for multitasking and creativity

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is designed to make productivity easier. With Split Screen mode, users can run two apps side by side for work and communication. In tabletop mode, the phone can stand on its own for streaming videos hands-free.

For creators, Google has added new AI tools like the ability to generate short videos with sound simply by describing an idea. The phone also introduces Magic Cue, an AI feature that proactively surfaces information when you need it, and Circle to Search, which lets users draw around text, images, or videos to find instant results.

Smarter camera system

The foldable phone includes an advanced triple rear camera setup with a 48 MP wide, 10.5 MP ultrawide, and 10.8 MP telephoto lens offering up to 20x Super Res Zoom. Users can preview and review shots in real time, take better group photos, and capture sharp closeups.

Pixel’s AI-powered camera features like Auto Best Take, Camera Coach, and Ask Photos are included, alongside Night Sight Video for clearer low-light recording.

Power and performance

Under the hood, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold runs on Google’s new Tensor G5 chip with 16 GB of RAM, offering up to 60% more powerful AI processing and 25% faster CPU performance than before. The phone promises 24+ hours of battery life, and up to 84 hours with Extreme Battery Saver. It also supports Pixelsnap magnetic wireless charging for faster and easier power-ups.

AI everywhere

The device deeply integrates Gemini, Google’s latest AI assistant. Users can chat with Gemini to brainstorm ideas, generate content, or manage tasks across apps. Live Translate has also been upgraded, now able to translate phone calls in the caller’s natural voice, making conversations more authentic.

Safety and updates

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold comes with 7 years of software and security updates. It includes Theft Detection, which automatically locks the phone if stolen, and Scam Detection to alert users about suspicious calls or texts. For emergencies, Satellite SOS can connect users to help even without Wi-Fi or mobile networks.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold starts at $1,799 (or $49.97/month with 36-month financing) and is available in Moonstone color. Storage options include 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB. Pre-orders are now open.
