The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has reported that the current monsoon low-pressure line is located slightly south of its normal position, causing weak monsoon conditions across Nepal. Moist air continues to flow in from the Bay of Bengal.
According to the DHM, the hilly areas of Koshi Province, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces are generally cloudy, while the remaining regions are experiencing mostly clear to partly cloudy weather. Some hilly areas in Bagmati Province are seeing moderate rainfall, and light rain is occurring in a few parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.
Today, the hilly regions of the country are expected to remain generally cloudy, with partly cloudy conditions in other areas. A few hilly areas and one or two locations in the Terai may experience moderate rain. Heavy rainfall is possible in one or two hilly areas of Bagmati Province.
The DHM has urged people to remain cautious, as heavy rain is possible in some parts of Koshi Province, including both Terai and hilly areas, based on the latest weather information.
