A bus accident took place in Pokhara Metropolitan City-13 on Sunday.
The bus (registration number Ga 1 Kha 4027) was coming from Arba towards Mahendrapul when its brakes failed, causing the accident.
A total of 23 people were injured. Ward Chairperson Kiran Baral of Pokhara-13 immediately arranged his own vehicle and two ambulances to take the injured to Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences.
Among them, 12 people with minor injuries were discharged after treatment, while 10 are still receiving care. Four of them are reported to be in moderate condition, according to DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet, spokesperson of Kaski Police.
Locals said the quick response from Ward Chairperson Baral helped prevent further damage.
