

On Tuesday, protesters set fire to the Ashumbhara Group building at Pokhara Lakeside, owned by Gandaki minister and businessman Bindu Kumar Thapa. Police said a woman’s burned body was found inside the building in the morning.
Another woman’s body was also found burned in the car showroom of Thapa’s brother, Dhruvo, located in New Road, Pokhara.
Protesters had attacked Minister Thapa’s house, his businesses Asumbhara and Bagaincha Resort, and also set fire to his brother’s properties.
On the same day, protesters burned down major offices in Pokhara and attacked the houses and businesses of several leaders, including Minister Thapa, Mayor Dhanraj Acharya, leader Rajiv Pahari, Bharat Pahari’s Hotel Sarobar, and Jitu Gurung’s Barpipal Resort.
