Nepali Army disposes of bomb found in Banepa

A bomb found in Naya Basti, Banepa-9, Kavrepalanchok, was safely disposed of by a Nepali Army team.

Ganapati Jhalak Subedi, spokesperson for Shreemayor Gan Dhulikhel, said the bomb was moved about 500 meters away from the settlement before being neutralized.

Although the bomb was found on Wednesday evening, it was only disposed of Thursday morning because it was near houses and it was dark. During the night, the army secured the area around the bomb to keep it safe.

In total, eight expired socket bombs were found in Banepa.
