All participating teams have been confirmed for the upcoming Australian Top End T20 Series, where the Nepali national cricket team will take part.
Four international teams will feature in the tournament: Nepal, Pakistan Shaheens (Pakistan ‘A’), Bangladesh ‘A’, and Chicago Kingsmen from the USA. They will be joined by five Big Bash League (BBL) academy teams from Australia: Hobart Hurricanes, Perth Scorchers, Adelaide Strikers, Melbourne Stars, and Melbourne Renegades. Additionally, ACT Comets and local side NT Strike will also participate.
While only 5 teams played in the 2023 edition, this year the tournament has expanded to 11 teams.
Nepal is using this series as preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia Pacific Qualifiers scheduled for October.
The tournament will be held in Darwin from July 14 to 24, 2025. Nepal is expected to play at least six matches. Games will be hosted at DXC Arena, TIO Stadium, and Kazaly Arena.
In the previous edition, well-known players like Haider Ali, Shahnawaz Dahani, and Abdul Samad from Pakistan Shaheens, and Mohammad Naim and Towhid Hridoy from Bangladesh A, had taken part.
This time too, several players who have played for their senior national teams or in the Big Bash League are expected to feature in different teams.
