The Patan High Court has temporarily stopped the arrest of journalist Dil Bhusan Pathak. The court issued a short-term interim order on Monday after hearing a request to cancel an arrest warrant related to a cybercrime case.

The order was given by Judge Rishi Raj Bhandari, who also called both sides to appear in court again on Ashar 5 for further discussion.

Pathak faced an arrest warrant after he published a video on his YouTube channel. In the video, he claimed that Jaiveer Deuba, son of Nepali Congress leader Sher Bahadur Deuba, had purchased the Hilton Hotel. Following that, authorities accused him of spreading false information online.

Pathak approached the High Court, asking for legal protection. For now, the court has barred the police from arresting him until a final decision is made.
