Arun Man Joshi Resigns from ANFA After Three Star Club’s Relegation

Arun Man Joshi, the former president of Three Star Club, has resigned from his position as Assistant General Secretary of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Wednesday.

He decided to step down after ANFA’s Appeals Committee relegated Three Star Club to the B Division. Joshi said he could no longer continue in the role because of the continuous unfair treatment towards the club.

“While representing Three Star in ANFA, it is not morally right for me to stay in the position after such action against the club,” Joshi said in his resignation statement.

Three Star was relegated after a controversy over using a foreign player in their final A Division League match. ANFA cancelled the match and held the club responsible, which led to their relegation.

The decision was made by ANFA’s Appeals Committee based on a complaint from APF Club, which was not directly involved in the match. Joshi claimed the process was biased and against the rules.

He also mentioned past incidents where ANFA’s mistakes stopped Three Star from participating in international competitions. “ANFA has again shown that justice delayed is justice denied,” he added.

Joshi had been serving as ANFA’s Assistant General Secretary while also leading Three Star Club. He said he worked sincerely in that role but decided to resign after repeated injustice towards the club.
