The bodies of a couple buried in a landslide in Langdi, Modi Rural Municipality-3 of Parbat, have been found.
According to the District Police Office, 76-year-old Chhabilal Bishwakarma and his wife Bishnumati were buried by the landslide that occurred last night. Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabi Bista confirmed the information.
Police teams from Dimuwa and Kushma, along with local residents, worked together to remove the debris and search for the missing couple.
Since last night, continuous rainfall has affected Parbat and nearby areas. Water levels in the Modi, Pati, Seti, Malyangdi, Lamae Khola, and Kali Gandaki rivers have risen. Authorities have advised people living near rivers and streams to stay alert.
