Brazilian Star Neymar Tests Positive for COVID-19

Brazilian football star Neymar has tested positive for COVID-19.

He had been missing training for two days due to fever and cold-like symptoms. After medical tests were done, his result came back positive. Neymar is currently in home quarantine.

He was not seen at the training ground on Thursday and Friday, which raised concerns. Doctors then tested him for COVID-19, and it was confirmed he is infected. He is now resting and being monitored by medical staff.

This news has not only affected his training but also created uncertainty about his upcoming matches. A charity match, which was to be held at Vila Belmiro Stadium in his name and to support his foundation, is now in doubt.

Earlier, Neymar had already been suspended from an important match against Fortaleza after getting a red card in a game against Botafogo for handling the ball.

Due to COVID-19, his possible final game for Santos is now uncertain. His contract renewal talks with the club have also been delayed.
