Burnt Body Found in Kanchanpur Identified

The burnt body found at Ghatiyaghat in Belauri Municipality-10, Kanchanpur, has been identified.

According to Kanchanpur’s SP Chakra Raj Joshi, the body belongs to 50-year-old Harikisan Rana from Beldandi Rural Municipality-3. He had left home on a motorcycle early Tuesday morning around 4:30 AM, saying he was going to Kolkata.

Later that morning, his burnt body was found near his burning motorcycle.

SP Joshi himself visited the scene for investigation. A trained police dog from the canine unit in Dhangadhi has also been brought in to help with the investigation.

SP Joshi said they will also seek technical help from Nepal Police’s Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) for further investigation.
