Three Children Die from Poisoning in Dhanusa, Mother in Critical Condition

Three children have died from poisoning in Dhanusa, and their mother is in serious condition.

The children were from Sahid Nagar Municipality-5, Yadukaha. According to Inspector Sanjeev Yadav of the Dhanusha District Police Office, the victims were 6-year-old Aditya Shah, 4-year-old Aakriti Shah, and 2-year-old Aarushi Shah, children of Sushil Shah.

Their mother, 30-year-old Pabita Shah, is in critical condition and is currently on a ventilator at the Provincial Hospital in Janakpur.

According to the police, the mother and her children were found at home around 6:40 PM on Monday after consuming poison. Locals rushed them to the hospital, but the children had already died by the time they arrived.

Police were informed of the incident only around 8:45 PM. They have started an investigation.

Police suspect that there was a family dispute, and Pabita may have poisoned her children and then tried to take her own life.
