Body of Missing 14-Year-Old Found in Rautahat River

Late Thursday evening, locals found the body of 14-year-old Krishnaprasad Yadav floating face-down in the Chadi River in Garuda Municipality-8, Rautahat. He had been missing for five days after leaving home on April 19 at 4 PM on his motorcycle, saying he was returning to his village in Brindaban Municipality-7.

Police were alerted by nearby residents and DSP Rajan Karki’s team reached the scene to investigate. Officers noted deep wounds on the boy’s stomach and temple, suggesting he may have been killed with a sharp weapon. They are working to determine whether it was a homicide.

Yadav’s motorcycle has not yet been found. His body was sent for post-mortem at the Chandranigahapur Primary Health Center as the police continue their inquiries.
