Nine drivers caught driving under influence of drugs in Banepa
Police in Banepa have arrested nine drivers for driving under the influence of drugs.
On Tuesday, between 11:35 am and 2:30 pm, a joint team from the Nepal Police Provincial Office Banepa, Area Police Office Banepa, District Traffic Police Office Banepa, and Shree Memorial Hospital conducted checks on the Araniko Highway section at Sanga, Banepa-14.
The team tested the urine of 40 passenger vehicle drivers using drug test kits with the help of medical staff. Out of them, nine drivers tested positive for drug use.
Police have taken them into custody and obtained a five-day extension from the Kavrepalanchok District Court for further investigation and legal action.
