A fire broke out at a nursing home in Zaragoza, northeastern Spain, on Friday night. A 93-year-old resident died, and at least 19 others were injured from smoke inhalation.
Local emergency services said the fire started around 11 PM in a ground-floor room of the building. The elderly victim died at the scene, while the injured were taken to hospitals for treatment.
The nursing home had 132 residents at the time. Firefighters and local residents worked together to rescue people. Some were even pulled out through windows, according to local media.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire. Early reports suggest an oxygen tank explosion may have started it.
