Young people from the Gen Z generation have started protests against corruption, mismanagement, and the government’s decision to block social media.

They gathered spontaneously at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu and joined the demonstration.

Protesters carried placards with slogans like “Gen Z shouts, mocking the corrupt,” “Where are you going, tax looter?”, “Free voice is our right,” and “Stop corruption.”

Some students were even seen wearing their school and college uniforms.

What was earlier limited to angry posts on social media has now been taken to the streets by the Gen Z youth.

The protest has gained support from different political parties, elected representatives, artists, professionals, and many independent young people.
