Gulmi’s Ridi-Tamghas road blocked by landslide

The Ridi-Tamghas section of the Madan Bhandari Highway in Gulmi district is completely blocked due to a landslide at Bakhre cliff in Rurukshetra Rural Municipality-3. The landslide, caused by continuous rain, brought down large rocks and stopped all vehicles, the District Police Office said.

Traffic in both directions has come to a halt, leaving passengers and vehicles stranded. Authorities have started clearing the debris and said the road will be reopened once the rain stops, according to Ganga Bahadur Saru, Information Officer at the District Police Office.

He also advised the public and drivers to use an alternative route until the road is cleared.
