Himalaya Airlines flight HIM 775 was diverted to Pokhara. The flight was scheduled to land at Tribhuvan International Airport at 12:35 pm.
According to the airline, the plane was diverted to Pokhara International Airport at 1:51 pm after Kathmandu Airport was closed.
However, the Tribhuvan Airport office said the airport was closed at 2:30 pm.
There were 65 passengers and 7 crew members on board. The airline said the diversion to Pokhara was done to ensure passenger safety.
This Himalaya Airlines flight had come from Lhasa, China. The diversion has raised many questions.
