PM KP Sharma Oli announces Simkot-Humla to be linked to national road network via Facebook post
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli took to Facebook today to share a major update: Simkot, the headquarters of Humla and the last remaining district not connected to the national road network, will be linked within a few days.
In his post, he wrote:
“Humla is no longer far.
The dream of connecting Simkot — the district headquarters of Humla — to the national road network is finally becoming a reality.
This has been a personal dream of mine for 26 years, and now, that dream is coming true.
Once this road opens, Nepal will also be directly connected to our friendly neighbor China through the Hilsa border.”
The post marks a milestone in Nepal’s road infrastructure as all 77 districts are now set to be connected through the national road system.
