Former election commissioner Ila Sharma has passed away.
She died on Saturday evening (July12) at Norvic Hospital after suffering a heart attack. Her final rites will be performed today.
Recently, she was serving as a director at Citizens Bank International.
Sharma had led the high-level legal drafting and political relations committee, where she worked on drafting election laws, regulations, and guidelines.
She is survived by her two daughters.
