Inter Miami and Palmeiras have reached the last 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup.
In Tuesday morning’s Group A match, the two teams played a 2-2 draw and shared points — enough for both to progress to the next round.
Miami had taken a two-goal lead but couldn’t hold on till the end. Tadeo Allende scored in the 16th minute to give Miami the lead, and Luis Suárez doubled it in the 65th minute.
However, Palmeiras made a strong comeback with goals from Paulinho in the 80th minute and Mauricio in the 87th minute to avoid defeat.
After this result, both teams have 5 points from 3 matches in Group A and move forward to the last 16.
In the other Group A match, Porto and Al Ahly played a thrilling 4-4 draw.
