A helicopter has crashed in a field on the Isle of Wight in the UK, police have confirmed.
According to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, the crash happened near Ventnor, close to Shanklin Road, just before 9:30 am on Monday (Local Time). Emergency services, including the Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and a critical care team, rushed to the site.
It is still unclear how many people were on board or if there are any serious injuries.
A witness said she saw the helicopter “spiralling” before it went out of sight and came down in a hedge. She added that there appeared to be four people inside and that airbags had deployed.
The road near the crash site has been closed to traffic while emergency teams continue their work.
