A woman and her baby daughter, who had been missing since 14 August, were found dead in Kailali.
Police said the bodies of 21-year-old Aarti Kumari Dagoura of Ghodaghodi-7 and her 10-month-old daughter Anuja Chaudhary were discovered hanging from a tree in the Gaurishankar Community Forest near their home.
According to DSP Ramesh Dutta Awasthi of Sukhad Area Police Office, both mother and daughter were found hanging from the same tree with separate ropes.
Dagoura and her daughter had been missing since 14 August, and her family had filed a complaint with the police.
The bodies have been taken to Tikapur Hospital for post-mortem. Police said further investigation is ongoing.
Dagoura had been living with her husband, mother-in-law, and brother- and sister-in-law.
