What caused the Kavre bus accident and what is the condition of the injured?

On Saturday afternoon, a passenger bus traveling from Doramba, Ramechhap to Kathmandu met with an accident on a narrow road in Pouwagaun, Bhumlu Rural Municipality-8, Kavrepalanchok.

The bus, registered as Ba 3 Kha 8408, reportedly crashed into a roadside wall after its brakes failed. Of the 32 passengers on board, 23 were injured and are now undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital. The rest are reported to be safe.

Police have taken the driver into custody, and further investigation is underway.

Doctors say most injuries are moderate to minor, with no reports of critical cases so far.
